lamp similis. first time i saw them in the wild. no the colours of the cyato are amazing and real! i think this one is the best looking so far. the colour changes to green, blue and red. we also did a lot of shrimp searching and we found some really nice species. got some good pics of them but will ...

the most suprised i was to see an alephant fish during a night dive. it was about 15cm. mark smith identified my elephant fish.! thanks for that! a fish i use to see somtimes in the open water was oreochromis. but this one was in the plant habitat. x fluorescent finding them at 55m depth south of go...

this is toae from kigoma in the wild. the fish can be seen on the day but was mostly active at night.

hi, this macrops from katoto can be seen from kasakalawe to katoto. a lot of dominant males can turn totally black. in kigoma the macrops turns black too.

i had a look a the fishing book and it is very intresting indeed! i must see if i can order this one.....
as we are exploring for names now; some help with this one: i posted it to some people before but no answer. it was near kapemba at 40-50m depth.

no they are not commonly seen. i have only seen them 3 times in a total of 100 dives and only in tanzania. my friend has seen them at least once too.

wow that is a journey. from kigoma to zambia....that is a long long travel. or are you taken the liemba? do you have scuba diving equipment? i think you have else you will have a hard time to see these fish a have taken pics of ...lol we are planning to go to kipilli and from there back to kigoma an...

congratulations you will go to the lake!! do you know which area? zambia or tanzania? yes i will dive to 65m depth but that i only did a few times because that diving locations at the lake was so good and we brought extra tanks and safety. the "normal"dives go to the 45-50meters. we do tha...

yes the first pic of trematocara was at a depth of 20 m around kigoma. they are very common and i also saw (and take pics) them a few years earlier at a place between katoto and chaitika
the t. zebra was taken at a depth of 50-55m depth and was my first time to see them.

this catfish was bigger then me and i am 1.90m. they were always swimming a long with me and it were 2 of them (a pair??).
