Julidichromis Dickfeldi female died

My julidichromis Dickfeldi female died leaving the male to care of the fry. I observed yesterday the male was visiting another female at her cave. I looks like they are bonding. Will she eat the fry he is taking care off. Fry has grown over these few weeks.

This may be a bit late to be any help. But usually the male is the one to eat all of the babies so I am impressed with him. But just to be safe, if you feel that they are big enough to pull and raise separately that would be probably best.
